In what may be one of the weirdest stories of the year, a man in China has died after having a 50cm long Asian swamp eel inserted in his rectum as a prank. Doctors who treated the man in the Sichuan Province did not know what caused the man’s demise until they performed an autopsy on him.

Reports indicated that the man who is identified as a chef was victim to a horrible prank. The chef is said to have had a heavy night of drinking and passed out with some friends. His friends thought it would be funny to put the eel inside the victim. A medical autopsy declared that the eel was the cause of death. Medics said the eel had devoured his bowels.

Sounds like a simple mistake. Could have happened to anyone. How could they know sticking an Eel in his ass would have been anything but a hilarious prank.
