A man dressed as the caped crusader, Batman, was arrested in Petoskey, Michigan, after hanging off the roof of an office building. He had items considered dangerous in his utility belt—a baton , lead-lined gloves, and mace.

The 31-year-old Mark Wayne Williams, managed to keep his true identity under wraps, although he was unmasked at the police station upon his arrest.

The would-be superhero was charged with trespassing and possession of a dangerous weapon, and photos were taken of him by arresting officers.

Petoskey public safety director John Calabrese told the local news that he believed the man “enjoys doing this.” The man had also set up a MySpace page, inspired by the movie Kick-Ass, where he claimed he liked to “help people when [he] can.”
