James W. Green, 29, wanted for various crimes in Bangor, Maine, accidentally dialed 911 repeatedly on his cellphone.

Police say that the man had been using a backpack leaf blower that was causing his cellphone in his pants pocket to dial the emergency number.

Arresting police officer Lt. Jeff Millard said that the report did not indicate exactly how many ‘pocket calls’ police dispatchers received but he did say that numerous calls were made to the police unbeknownst to Green.

Police were able to locate the origin of the calls by triangulating signals from Green’s cellphone. When police arrived, they determined that Green was on two outstanding warrants for failure to pay fines.
